Siblings in relationship can be the best… or the worst. This program explores a little bit of both, focusing first on the friendly musical competition between WF and CPE Bach and then veering into darkness with Julia Wolfe’s “Cruel Sister” which uncovers a rivalry that leads to murder. We begin with Arvo Pärt’s “Fratres,” paying homage to an order of monks, who have become siblings by choice.
