Charlotte Dobbs joined the board in 2024. Charlotte brings expertise from across her wide-ranging career, which has spanned the arts, private sector advisory work, and philanthropic strategy. After completing her undergraduate degree at Yale, Charlotte studied voice at Juilliard and Curtis and went on to sing with the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Rossini Opera Festival, and New York City Opera. Highlights of her career included performing Das Buch der hängenden Gärten with Mitsuko Uchida and singing Rosina in Barber of Seville across a number of cities in Italy. After these beautiful years immersed in music, Charlotte transitioned to a career in consulting at the boutique strategy firm Incandescent. Her clients there spanned multiple sectors, and over time she became more immersed in philanthropy strategy, particularly in the democracy and civic health space. After a period working as an independent consultant in this area, she has now joined Catchafire, a technology company that brings people together to solve problems and unlock the potential of community based nonprofits at scale.
