APPALACHIAN SPRING

Saturday, March 13, 2026 at 3:00pm | St. John’s JP
Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 7:30pm | First Church Cambridge

Our St. John’s chamber music series invites audiences into intimate musical spaces where stories, traditions, and communities come alive. Each concert highlights a different facet of connection—across cultures, generations, and landscapes—through the close-knit artistry of chamber music.

A Far Cry takes audiences on a sonic journey across the American landscape. Copland’s Appalachian Spring and Beethoven’s Pastorale celebrate resilience and reverence for nature, while Shelley Washington’s SAY offers a powerful, contemporary lens on identity and belonging.
