Josh E. Santana

Josh brings a rare combination to A Far Cry's board: a lifelong, hands-on relationship with classical music and a career built on strategic thinking, negotiation, and results.

For eight years, Josh served as Conductor, Program Coordinator, and Teaching Artist with the UMass Lowell String Project, where he conducted the program's premiere ensemble, the Lowell Youth Orchestra, led beginner ensembles of 20-35 students, and developed a full-year curriculum for the university's string teacher preparation course. That experience gave him a deep, practical understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a musical institution, from the classroom to the concert hall.

Today, Josh is a real estate broker, where he has spent his career translating market analysis, negotiation strategy, and client relationships into consistent results. He brings that same discipline to his board work, a data-driven mindset paired with the patience and listening skills of a musician, applied toward strengthening A Far Cry's financial footing, community relationships, and long-term growth.

A longtime classical music concertgoer in Boston for over 16 years, Josh has long been intentional about using his professional success to support the classical music institutions that shape this city. His board appointment for A Far Cry is a natural extension of his commitment to Boston's classical music community that has spanned nearly two decades.

Fluent in Spanish and deeply versed in the history of classical music, Josh brings both a global perspective and a genuine, lived passion to his work on the board.
